In short: no account, no ads, no analytics, no cookies. Whatever you save in Branton & Andette stays in your browser.
What Branton & Andette saves
Nothing on our servers. This information stays in your browser's local storage
(localStorage and IndexedDB), on your device:
- your maintenance log: your bikes (name, brand, model, notes), their mileage, their parts and the jobs done;
- your bikes' photos, in the browser's local database (IndexedDB). They are resized before being saved, which erases their metadata, including the GPS location where they were taken;
- the gear you tick in “Getting started”;
- your light or dark theme choice.
It is never sent to us and does not follow you from one device or browser to another. To keep it, use the backup in the log; to erase it, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
The “Getting started” page lists external route-planning apps: following those links takes you off this site, and their own privacy policies apply.
Server logs
Like any web server, ours keeps technical logs of each visit: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser. They are used only to keep the site secure and running (legitimate interest), are never sold or combined with other data, and are deleted after one year at most.
Cookies and trackers
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or social media tools. Fonts are served from our own servers: no third-party service is contacted while you browse. The preferences kept in your browser (described above) are strictly necessary for the features you use, so they need no consent.
Hosting
The site and its logs are hosted by OVH SAS (details in the legal notice).
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete data about you, or object to its processing, by writing to contact@erraven.fr. Data controller: Alexandre Suchot. If you feel your rights are not respected, you can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
This page will change when Erraven accounts arrive; the date at the top shows the latest update.
